What You’ll Do on a Typical Day:

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards inside and out of our facilities, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all operations. Your contributions will be vital to our commitment to quality service.

As a Sanitation Worker at Moran Logistics, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities. This involves performing cleaning tasks in accordance with established protocols, ensuring that all areas are consistently maintained to the highest cleanliness standards. You’ll regularly inspect the facility to identify areas that need attention, and handle any heavy lifting or equipment moving necessary to complete cleaning tasks. Your role will also include assisting in food processing areas to ensure sanitary conditions are met.

You’ll be expected to safely and effectively utilize cleaning chemicals and equipment, working closely with the team to maintain an efficient workflow and ensure sanitation compliance across all areas. Regular documentation will be part of your duties, helping to track your work and maintain cleanliness standards.

In addition to standard cleaning tasks, you’ll assist with light grounds maintenance, including picking up litter, and ensure the janitor’s room remains neat and stocked with cleaning and maintenance supplies. From washing windows to conducting routine inspections, you’ll be proactive in maintaining the cleanliness of the space. You may also be called upon to take on special projects, cross-train in different areas, and assist with repacking damaged products when necessary.

Your day-to-day will also include ensuring all areas are clear of debris and that garbage containers are emptied as needed. With a keen eye for detail, you’ll work independently, staying self-motivated to get the job done while also leading a team of Custodian/Sanitation personnel when required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in sanitation or custodial roles preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions
  • Detail-oriented and thorough
  • Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance
  • Must have reliable transportation and willingness to travel as needed
