We are currently looking for someone to join our team as Forklift / Reach Truck Operator for our 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM shift and our 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Efficiently sort, handle, load, and unload freight using sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial material handling equipment. Receive, distribute, and store products in designated, secure locations using the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Secure freight inside trailers with appropriate tools and supplies. Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments, and adjust inventory using WMS. Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage or loss. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts as needed. Follow safety guidelines and regulations set by OSHA and conduct routine safety inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Candidates must have reach truck experience.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and lift trucks to move materials and products
- Perform order picking and packing tasks to fulfill customer orders
- Load and unload trucks for shipping and receiving purposes
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage or loss
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations set forth by OSHA.
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating a forklift and reach truck or similar equipment preferred.
- Ability to operate a variety of warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, lift trucks, and hi-lo machines.
- Proficient in basic math skills for inventory management purposes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds)
