A $1 million state capital budget grant has been awarded to Moran Industries to help the company expand its intermodal capabilities.
The grant comes from the state Department of Transportation through its Bureau of Rail Freight Ports and Waterways. Jeff Stroehmann, Vice President of Operations at Moran, said the money will be used for rehabilitation and construction of a rail siding into an addition to the former Zenith plant off Eighth Street.

Moran has created another new subsidiary called North American Stone Cutters, Inc based at our Watsontown, Pa. location. The stone is utilized on residential homes, landscaping projects, and commercial buildings. The finished product is shipped worldwide utilizing Moran Logistics Distribution and Transportation Services which handle all aspects of transportation and export customs paperwork. Our Tier-1 Warehouse Management System tracks our extensive list of products and keeps track of all custom orders. This company is being led by Kyle Natter who has extensive experience in the cut stone industry. We will be using state of the art automated diamond tipped saws in the production of the natural veneered stone.

This company offers Environmental, Site Surveying, and Design Build services. This company complements our Construction arm and allows for us to offer a complete build to suit package. Our highly trained personnel provide professional service delivery on schedule as promised, reliability, and detailed thoroughness that provides for a successful project.

Rayonier has contracted with Moran
Industries, Inc. to service their railcar trans-loading needs.
Rayonier is a global supplier of timber, performance fibers and wood products with customers in more than 50 countries. Their strategic focus and resources are concentrated on three well-positioned core businesses: Timber, Real Estate and Performance Fibers.

purchased 178 acres in White Haven, Pa. This
tract of shovel ready land has 1 mile of road frontage on
I-80. This acreage is being added to our Logistics land bank
for future development.

Pennsylvania State Representative Steve Capelli (R.), District 84 Lycoming County, toured all of the Moran Industries locations via a new Bell 427 Helicopter. The purpose of the visit was to gain a better understanding of the Supply Chain that Moran has created in the Central Susquehanna Valley and how we help attract companies to the area with our services.

all of the Moran Industries locations
, via helicopter, in order to view Moran's continuing expansion. They landed and walked through our Watsontown, White Deer, and Williamsport facilities. The purpose of their visit was to gain a better understanding of our logistical expertise, construction abilities, and proficiency to create and sustain jobs in the Central Susquehanna Valley.

Pennsylvania State Senator John Gordner and State Representative Merle H. Phillips toured the Moran Industries facilities to view Moran's continuing expansion. They visited our Watsontown operations in order to gain a better understanding of our services and how we are creating and sustaining a viable job base.

New Facility acquired in Sunbury PA
Moran purchased the former Wilhold Building in Sunbury, PA. The 129,000 square feet DC is rail served with a dual Silo transloading siding. This building was owned by Newell Rubbermaid and was used as a manufacturing facility for hair care products. Moran is expanding the space for an existing customer and is prepping the rest of the DC as food grade storage.

The American Chemistry Council Board has approved Moran Industries, Inc as a Responsible Care Partner. Responsible Care is a global initiative that is practiced currently in 52 countries, which share a common commitment to advancing the safe and secure management of chemical products and processes.

Moran has successfully launched its new Tier-1 Warehouse Management System powered by SSA Global's Warehouse 4000. The go-live was one of the most successful for SSA as stated by Steve Calloway - Project Manager for SSA. He attributed the success to Moran's training methodology and state of the art training center which emulates a virtual warehouse environment complete with wireless RF and real time data. All of Moran's current customers will be transferring to the new WMS throughout 2006.

SPX Corporation inks 10 year deal with Moran Industries
at White Deer, PA
The development division of Moran Industries has started extensive
renovations of the former Lazy Boy furniture-manufacturing center, which Moran
bought earlier this year. The refurbishing will serve the requirements of the
Thermal Processing Division of SPX Corporation, a $4.3 billion industrial
conglomerate headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. Upon opening, the SPX
facility will add 150 new jobs to the local employment roles. An additional 75
jobs are expected as the facility ramps up over time.
The 140,000-square-foot Moran facility was attractive for the excellent local
workforce, and the choice location at the intersection of Interstate 80 and US
15. The headquarters of the Moran Industries company is just one mile to the
east in Watsontown, Pennsylvania.

The 200,000-square-foot warehouse planned for the Lycoming County Wahoo
Industrial Park has been expanded in the planning stages to a
250,000-square-foot facility. Additional space has been added due to customer
request.

Contract signed with SSA Global for premier warehouse management system
Following months of due diligence, testing the best in field for supply chain
management applications, the tech division of Moran Industries has officially
committed to SSA Global’s Exceed 4000 v 3.9 WMS, and its process implementation
by SSA. The Chicago headquartered SSA Global Technologies focuses on
industry-specific systems applications for markets such as automotive, consumer
packaged goods, pharmaceutical, and chemical, the supply chains that are served
by Moran Industries.

Moran Management attends American Chemistry Council’s annual meeting
With the support of its customer base, Moran Industries has begun applying the
rigorous safety protocols of the American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) Responsible
Care initiative. The ACC’s annual meeting at the Greenbrier Resort in White
Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, was attended this June by Moran management who
will be leading Moran’s involvement towards Responsible Care Partner status.
The roster of attendees included key executives from Fortune 500 companies, as
well as featured speaker Dr. Ram Charan who has coached some of the world’s
most successful CEO’s, and keynote speaker Governor Tom Ridge, the first Office
of Homeland Security Advisor in the history of the USA.
The American Chemistry Council represents the leading companies engaged in the
business of chemistry. Council members apply the science of chemistry to make
innovative products and services that make people's lives better, healthier,

Del Monte Foods awards Bozzuto Grocery account to Moran Industries
The Moran warehousing services team has been chosen by Del Monte for the large
Bozzuto Grocery account. Bozzuto’s supplies about 700 stores with food products
throughout New York, New England, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Moran plans to add Lycoming County distribution facility
Moran Industries recently announced the official groundbreaking for a new
200,000-square-foot logistics facility to be built in Williamsport's Wahoo
Industrial Park. Keystone Development Zone (KOZ) status for this site enables
fulfillment of Pennsylvania economic incentive programs, which will contribute
to the community’s economic base. Moran Industries’ expanding customer base has
prompted development of this state-of-the-art high-bay facility, which offers
rail access.
Members of the community and state officials that attended include Pennsylvania
State Representatives Brett Feese and Steven Cappelli, Williamsport Mayor Mary
Wolfe, and Chamber of Commerce Officials, North Shore Rail representatives, and
Moran employees.
“We feel Lycoming County needed a modern distribution center to support
industry, and this makes our second development in the county,” President of
Moran Industries, John D. Moran, Jr. said. “The local and state officials who
promoted the KOZ program really made this day possible. We look forward to
working further with this community.”
Moran Industries intends to continue development in the Williamsport area with a
concentration on the information technology systems, which have been at the
cutting edge of their third party warehousing service offerings.

Board approves KOZ status for Moran
The East Lycoming School Board has voted for Moran’s Hughesville warehouse to
become a tax-exempt Keystone Opportunity Zone. Governor Ed Rendell has promoted
KOZs across the state, and now Hughesville has the opportunity to achieve this
significant status. David E. Dougherty, Vice President for Economic Development
of the Williamsport-Lycoming Chamber of Commerce, said the warehouse’s 30- to
35-foot ceiling clearance makes the Hughesville location an attractive asset to
the community and has the potential to draw new business. Formal approval will
be finalized this June.

Moran opens new warehouse
Moran Industries recently completed and opened a state-of-the-art
99,500-square-foot warehouse, replacing the unutilized five-acre Glen-Gery
Brickyard with a Norfolk Southern rail-served distribution center. The
structure has 30-foot clear-height and 50-foot bays and is the third major new
construction complementing Moran’s two decades of rehabbing its central
700,000-square-foot industrial facility in Watsontown.

Phillips tours Moran facilities
Pennsylvania State Representative Merle H. Phillips toured the Moran Industries
facilities on January 6 to view Moran’s continuing expansion. Phillips is the
Majority Caucus Administrator in Harrisburg and has been the delegate of the
108th District, comprising Northumberland and Snyder Counties, since 1980.

Arnold Bakery partners with Moran
The Arnold Bakery division of George Weston, Ltd., the Canadian food giant, has
signed a long-term contract for a distribution center at Moran Industries’
Watsontown site. The location for Arnold has been substantially upgraded by
Moran’s construction unit and is one of several incubator projects bringing 12
new jobs.

PPL signs contract with Moran
Pennsylvania Power and Light has signed a long-term contract with Moran for the
storage and handling of essential energy production equipment. Moran will
employ its 20-ton crane and 42-foot-high bay facility for this function.

Moran receives USDA and FDA approval
December 2003 came to a close with Moran receiving USDA and FDA approval. Moran
has been designated as meeting with strict adherence to the guidelines of the
United States Department of Agriculture for government-processed commodities
storage programs. The company is further registered as conforming to the safety
requirements of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
